My Salty Sisters are going to South Africa! SO EXCITING!!! Our first Empowerment & Kite Retreat in the lagoon of Langebaan is going to be a next level kitesurf adventure. Get ready for an extraordinary experience.
Spot: Kiteboarding in LANGEBAAN
About 130 km from Cape Town you find the beautiful, turquoise lagoon of Langebaan. It is the only shallow flat water spot in the Cape Town area and offers perfect conditions for beginners as well as experienced kiters. With a wind probability of 80% and air temperatures of 25-30°C February is one of the best months to visit this spot.
The small surfer town Langebaan itself has a variety of different restaurants, bars and relaxed places to hang out - everything you need for a laid back kite holiday!
Arrival & Stay
Fly into Cape Town, our meeting point on the 4th of February will be at the lovely kite house @ROSIE'S in Blouberg, where we will spend the first night.
The next day we leave to get to our very own private My Salty Sisters beach house in Langebaan - just 50 meters from the kite beach with garden, pool and WIFI.
You'll be sharing a room with one of your newfound kite sisters.
After a week full of great sessions and good vibes we'll be leaving back to Cape Town on the 12th.
Action: Kite, Yoga & More
You can probably guess the main focus of our trip: Kitesurfing! We will have one to two daily kitesurfing sessions together (depending on the conditions) during which we are going to support you in everything you need. It will help you to gain confidence on the water, learn some new tricks or boost your kitesurfing skills. We provide coaching, support and (most of all) fun - on and off the water - for you. You still need lessons? No problem! Our partner school "Obsession Kiting" (run by two sisters!) offers professional courses on the spot.
Also we spoil you with daily body & mind workouts, such as yoga, fascial muscle relaxation, etc., as well as a simple guide to an active and healthy way of living, empowerment activities and personal development workshops.
Empowerment
Our retreats are more than a kite camp: We focus on empowering women on and off the water. Together we celebrate every day, session and progression, share thoughts and experiences to be able to grow.
Our mission is to build a strong sisterhood of kite ladies (and those, who want to become one) and to show the world how much women rock on the water!

- Extra nights in Cape Town (We do recommend you to extend your stay, if possible. The area has so much to offer and explore. If you are thinking to add some days in Blouberg - the main kite spot in Cape Town - let us know. We can help you out with some good contacts.)
As always, we offer limited spots for the most personal experience. Because of the private beach house, this retreat is strictly limited to 8 spots. Feel free to send us a message regarding information about the spot, transfer, kite lessons, rental – or anything else, that’s on your mind.
What kite level do I need?
At our retreats, all kitesurfing levels are welcome! Please note that due to safety reasons you have to take kiteboarding lessons or assistance until you are able to go upwind in any kind of condition (light wind, strong wind, gusts, wavy spots, etc.) and be completely confident with the self-rescue maneuver. If you haven't reached that level yet, we are happy to help you arrange everything with our partner school Obsession Kiting prior the trip. Please always inform us before the retreat about your kitesurfing level in the booking form. Even if you are a beginner or need some refreshment lessons, we will still make sure to ride together and share unforgettable experiences on the water. Of course, our team will provide coaching and share tipps with all the participants - no matter the level.
What is the difference between a My Salty Sisters Empowerment & Kite Retreat and a kite camp?
Our retreats are more than a kite camp: We want to shift the focus to the one thing that matters most to us - having fun on the water and enjoying every kite session. We truly believe that progression comes with a feeling of safety, support and pure joy – and that’s what we want to provide to our Salty Sisters. Empowering each other is a big part of this process, which means we will be there for every little step you do towards reaching your personal (kitesurfing) goal.
