Strong winds, direct beach access & maximum time on the water - Barrinha is the real deal. At this still pretty undiscovered kite spot close to Preá we will stay only steps away from the launching area. For one week, our mantra is simple: wake up, grab your kite, repeat.

Barrinha sits right next to Preá, one of the most legendary kite destinations in the world. Strong, reliable winds, wide open beaches and some of the highest wind probability on the planet mean you can count on a full week of proper sessions. At low tide the spot transforms into perfectly flat water - ideal for all levels, from your first waterstarts to learning tricks. And our accommodation is literally right at the kite spot: you can watch the kites from your room! This is as close as it gets. Need lessons or rental gear? We'll organise everything for you.

Wake Up and kite - sunrise to sunset (if you want!)

Your home for the week is a beautiful pousada right at the kite spot - cosy double or triple rooms, breakfast included and the sound of the wind to wake you up every morning.

Single rooms are available on request. Everything you need is right here: rest, recharge and walk straight to the water. It really is that simple. And we'll be by your side supporting you every step of the way.

Airport info: Fly into Fortaleza or Jericoacoara airport - transfers can be arranged by us if needed (not included).

Daily guided sessions in strong, consistent wind - this is the spot to send it higher, nail new tricks or finally learn how to kitesurf. When the tide drops, the water turns unbelievable flat, perfect for working on your fundamentals or simply enjoying the ride. Progress comes naturally when you're having the time of your life. One-on-one coaching as well as organised downwinders available on request - just say the word. Every day we provide wonderful, relaxing body & mind workouts for our group - yoga, meditation, breathing and stretching - so your body is ready to fly every single day.

Our retreats focus on empowering women on and off the water. Together we celebrate every day, every session and every progression, share thoughts and experiences and grow. During the past years we've found a very special energy that unlocks in a group of like-minded women with the same passion - supportive, unstoppable, and absolutely unforgettable. Our mission is to build a strong sisterhood of kite girls - and those who want to become one. Because women absolutely rock on the water.

*What kite level do I need?

At our retreats, all kitesurfing levels are welcome! Please note that due to safety reasons you have to take kiteboarding lessons or assistance until you are able to go upwind in any kind of condition (light wind, strong wind, gusts, wavy spots, etc.) and be completely confident with the self-rescue maneuver. We are happy to help you arrange everything with our partner school at Casa Dunas da Barrinha prior the trip. All our participants get a discount during our stay on all services provided by Casa Dunas. Please make sure to let us know about your kite level in the booking form. Even if you are a beginner or need some refresher lessons, we will still make sure to ride together and share amazing experiences on the water. Of course, our team will provide coaching and share tipps with all the participants - no matter the level.

What is the difference between a My Salty Sisters Empowerment & Kite Retreat and a kite camp?

We want to shift the focus to the one thing that matters most: Having fun on the water. We truly believe that progression comes with the feeling of safety, support and pure joy – and that’s what we want to provide to our Salty Sisters. Empowering each other is a big part of this process, which means we will be there for every little step you do towards reaching your personal (kitesurfing) goal.
