Kitesurfing In Colombia

Oh Colombia! We can’t wait to come back to this beautiful country with its amazing landscape and worthwhile culture. Not to forget, the diversity of kite spots: We are starting our Kite Safari in Manzanillo, close to Cartagena, where we have stable, moderate winds and the perfect spot for all levels. Salinas del Rey offers the same conditions with wide beaches, away from the touristy areas of Colombia. This two spots are perfect for your first lessons as well as if you want to bring your skills to the next level.

For the second week we chose two kite spots which are considered as some of the best in Latin America: Cabo de la Vela and Punta Gallinas, in the very north of the Colombian coast, offer the perfect playground for freestyle lovers and adventurous kiters. In the middle of the Guajira desert you find these uncrowded and incredible spots, offering perfectly strong wind every day.

For the first week of this kitesurfing trip we chose two very comfortable and lovely accommodations: Beach Bungalows Cartagena in Manzanillo Beach and Kite Eco House in Salinas del Rey offer everything for a pleasant stay at stunning beach locations. Healthy and balanced breakfast is included in the package price, as well as a shared room with one of your Salty Sisters.

As we are going to visit some very local spots during the second week (Adventure package), the accommodation will be simple and down to earth – but we promise you, you will enjoy this lifetime experience. Of course, all necessities (bathroom, shower, electricity) will be provided. There are no guest houses offering included breakfast, but the local food bikes provide snacks and fresh fruits every day. For lunch and dinner, you’ll find several inexpensive local restaurants.

Let’s get wild! We will start every morning with a vitalizing 45-minute body & mind workout and score at least one kitesurfing session a day. The basic package also includes a vegan cooking class, daily empowerment activities and personal development workshops in a safe environment. The My Salty Sisters Empowerment & Kite Retreats provide a simple guide to an active and healthy lifestyle and an unforgettable adventurous vacation. During our second week (Adventure Package) we will live together under the motto: Eat, sleep, kite, repeat. Due to the strong winds, it’s possible to kite all day in incredible conditions. The My Salty Sisters Team will support you with individual coaching to boost your kitesurfing level.

The main focus of our retreats: we offer more than a kite camp! We want to empower women on and off the water, celebrate every day, session and progression together. We strongly believe that there is a salty soul in every kite girl (and all the women, who want to become one), that needs to be embraced. Our experience proofs, that there is a very special energy unlocked in a group of women with the same passion, that helps supporting each other in our way of living. Together we are building a strong, and salty, sisterhood for life.
